Byte is something else... I love him to bits but he takes on only the parts of him I want to convey. He has no character that I can define, but we know each other.

He has Cal, who gets drawn the least because Byte is easier to color than Cal, who needs a reference every single time. Byte can be a ghost cat, a cyberpunk-esque inspired Roblox creation (true story), a complete menace, or some tsun personality. Or I can become him when I draw him, and I draw him like he's something pretty and special.

I note it a lot when I do display art of him, but I portray my own kind of... sensibilities through him. I think I would like to be masculine and to be a man, but what I want seem to belong to an entirely different person. There used to be a page about it, but it's gone now, which is why I play with Byte so much.

A two-toned black and white high value contrast photo of Byte holding a plushie version of himself as he looks back at the viewer

I was tinkering with little sitebox designs on the side, this was one of my sketch ideas. The site is dark, so I always want the sitebox to also convey a darkness so no one is jumpscared by my darkroom place. I still might go this way, my current sitebox supports swapping out the image at any time

A sketch of two photos of Byte. One is looking up to the left of the canvas with a sheepish expression, and the other is a bust of him staring ahead. the hair is the center of the piece in both photos. text in the middle of the two reads: he has the curly hair but he ruins it with heat.

Did you know I love Byte? That's because he's very versatile. I like being genderfluid and he is patient zero. Canonically, he's a cis male but I let him dress in all kinds of clothing and have a feminine appearance without being any kind of dedicated soft/femboy. I think it represents me best <3
