I… fear for it all, if they come for me, I will be killed, and my sovereignty will
collapse… do they not know I am better than they?
ABOUT
I created this collection of short stories as a sort of digital notepad for my
works. Here, I intend to show off my true self, as I work best with short stories.
Most stories are either dark or fatalistic or have some unique little twist on them
Otherwise, they just exist because I love my OCs or I thought of an interesting
setting. Either way, I'm really not built for writing novels, so most of my stories
are novelettes or short stories.
Also, as much as I would probably be better off trying to explore new genres, all my
writing comes back to a venn diagram of grimdark/gothic/horror so be aware. It
probably doesn't help that at any given time, I'm like knee-deep in the latest
psychological experience? (My latest is No, I'm Not A Human as of writing this, even
though im not in with the fandom (my favorite Guest is Wireface). Another favorite
is The Supper: New Blood, although i literally just stumbled across playthroughs and
haven't played it myself, so idk how niche it is?)
Anyway, this collection will be very interesting when it's done, I think. I might
have to put in a mini tags system or something.

CW: captor/pet, undead, apocalypse..? idk bro
I wrote it on a 5-5-5-5 minute challenge and then polished it. It's a world I enjoy and
would maybe revisit, but I don't truly care for it, either... I named it after and it was
inspired by the Coldplay song but if anyone asks, i did NOT say this
In these times, the sky was a bleak, sinister smear of yellow and acid, toxic and cruel to
all life. It had long since replaced the blue of life, becoming a signal of something no
living being would ever live for. It was a time to be sheltered, as the world was rotting,
breaking down, burning everything it could consume. The rains were the main threat,
especially as humidity rolled down after a period of dryness. Those who belonged to the
start of the New Era cheered when the rain returned; they were the first to fall.
Under this new, yellow sky, shelters were built for those who could survive. They came and
went with time, especially in the first decade, but eventually found their footing.
Fortunates, a self-defined term that grew in popularity, were the ones who inhabited them.
Naturally, they were anything but.
Regardless of the terms of which people used, there was a clear divide in the world. This
divide would come to be known as the Old and the New Eras, where the Old was long forgotten.
And those who had the true fortune, those lived in both?
CW: sexual themes (non-explicit/16+), mentions of non-explicit & non-graphic violence
A slightly experimental work I made when I was half asleep and sick.
She trodded along slowly, looking around at this world. The mud soaked its way into her
shoes and socks, but she still moved onward. Her tail once swished along these leaves, she
reminded herself, and then she chopped it off and sold it for some fruit.
In this world of hers, she said, coming to a halt as she would dance, try new things. She
would bite at the corpse of her mother, killed just the night before, and throw her to the
fire. She could stomp at the bears in the wood, kill people, and become a vicious monster…
and then she would embody all of their people in the process.
She turned to humanity not soon after, observing them from afar. She wanted to toy with
them, to kill them and stalk them like prey. She ate the baby of a passerby woman, and then
spit it back up and healed it when she complained. And then, in the same day, she claimed
that she could jump over the moon and bring back down a star; instead, she leapt onto a
shaped tavern sign and picked up a pebble. In the end, she found Man boring, and there was
nothing left but to move on.
A man came by the next day, and she crept up on him slowly. She wanted to eat him, for he
was so vulnerable and easy, but she waited. A creeping feeling of curiosity came over her,
just this once, so she covered her form and imitated him.
